I designed this template to digitize my collection of Balkan folk songs and other World Music, and to make it searchable by first line. I use transliterated first lines as filenames since some diacritical marks make the filename invalid.

Word has some powerful translation tools and handles non-latin glyphs and letters with ease. I use an online tool for fast transliteration.

In the left column are the transliterated lyrics of the song for English-speaking singers; in the right, the original lyrics. Underneath is the translation, which can be split into two columns if necessary.
